Color Pooling Crochet

Red Heart With Love: Delightful

Updated: Jul 19, 2023

Brand: Red Heart With Love: Delightful

Level: Easy

Stitch: Moss

Hook: J Hook 6.0mm

Sequence

#Stitch/Color/Length: 1 Dark Gray (5in), 2 Light Gray (10in), 7 Coral (31in),2 Light Gray (10in), 1 Dark Gray (5in)

Swatch Notes:

  • 27 stitches each row (13 stitches per sequence x2 full sequences for swatch +1 stitch for argyle pattern)

  • Offset shift w/ Coral: added an extra stitch every odd row.

  • 100% Acrylic

  • This yarn is very easy to work with. It is probably one of the easiest yarns to color pool because of the simple repeat sequence. (dark gray, light gray, coral, light gray) If you are planned color pooling for the first time, this is the yarn that I would recommend.

  • I started the swatch in the middle of a sequence ( splitting the dark grays) so the bottom of the diamond would fall in the middle of the swatch. I would probably do the same if I was making a blanket.

  • I included 2 chart pictures, one of this swatch and one of what a blanket with 105 stitches per row would look like.

And as always, if you have used this yarn on a project, please feel free to share your masterpiece in the comment section 🥰
