To offset stitches for argyle pattern, I had to play with tension at the ends of the rows to keep 6 stitches per color.

Hobby Lobby's Winterberry Frost is one of their most popular yarns to color pool. With long color changes (approx 85 inches for my lot), "yarn eating" stitches like this granny stitch make this pattern mindless and easy. Other stitches that would work well would be the jasmine or shell stitch. If you are making a blanket, be sure to have lot's of yarn skeins on hand. This swatch alone took 2 skeins.
I included 2 chart pictures, one of this swatch and one of what a blanket with 100 stitches would look like.
